Meet the Artist...
Bob Grayson is passionate for the arts, as an artist, and an art instructor. His passion for helping others comes from a deep calling to “serve”. He loves working with children, adults and the senior community. He was mentored by his father, a pastor, sign and mural painter when growing up in Tennessee. He completed an art minor and elementary teacher, major at Cumberland University, Williamsburg, Kentucky and has been an understudy for several art instructors in the Dayton vicinity in the early 70's.
In Zanesville, Bob appreciates support from his many artists friends, especially Alan Cottrill and Mary Ann Bucci. He is the owner of Gallery I and II, which is the home of 35 artists that offers 1,000 art pieces on display daily. Weekly, Bob teaches 25- 30 art students, ages 5 – 90. In addition, he works as an elementary principal and art teacher for the children at Foxfire Elementary School, celebrating his 45th year in school work. His portfolio of work includes over 300 car, motorcycle, hot rod vehicle paintings as commissioned art work. In the community, Bob works as “co chair” of the Y Bridge Arts Festival and the children's education area and is also very active in the Zanesville Downtown Businesses by serving on Zanesville Downtown Review & Design Board. He also manages the 62 office/studio spaces in the Masonic Temple Building. Bob gives much appreciation of supporting his passion for art through his wife, Tammy and son, Doug. |
